Learning for a Lifetime

Indianapolis is our home—we live and work here, we play here, we raise our families in this remarkable and treasured place. To thrive, our home requires us to make an ongoing commitment. One way we can do this is by supporting our Library. Today’s libraries provide unique access to information in all its forms. It furnishes technological resources, promotes reading, conducts vital community outreach, and hosts intriguing cultural gatherings and public dialogue. But not without our help.

Our region’s prosperity depends on the engagement and education of all its citizens. To meet local residents’ information and educational needs, the Library has identified three areas in which dedicated and flexible resources will greatly enhance the quality of life in our community: early childhood literacy outreach, lifelong learning initiatives, and Cultural and Community Programming. But, we can’t do it alone—it will take all of us.

Through the Learning for a Lifetime campaign, The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library Foundation will establish a permanent endowment to sustain its margin of excellence and to meet current and future needs in these three critical program areas.
